My work is mainly abstract in wood and stone. Many of the forms combine organic with mathematical elements, mostly concerned with endlessness, growth and continuous renewal.
Art forms used are sculptures in wood, stone, plaster, bronze, stainless steel and polystyrene.
How do I work for a commission?
When I have discussed what the client would like I carve a couple of maquettes in wood or stone which I show to them.
I find this it makes it easier for the client to visualise what the piece will look like than just presenting them with a drawing.
I then create the final piece at the stipulated size and in the stipulated medium; be that wood, metal, stone or resin.
